About Carly Franklin
Creative Voice
In a fast-paced world of throw away items, the act of slowing down and smelling the flowers is how Carly likes to start her creative process. A forest walk, the bark on trees or the colour of the sky can spark the next project intentions. Foraging forest material, growing purposeful plants and recreating nature through cloth is a passion she grows with every exploration.
The Intersection of softness and strength. I work with soft materials but when we manipulate them we make it stronger through our interaction. The work I creates connects people to themselves and their passions. Asking people to slow down and enjoy the process, listen inward, and remember what they already know.
Rather than offering an answer, my work invites you to look inwards and connect with yourself. Exploring materials and techniques from a place of play.
